Who Is a Good Candidate for This Treatment?
For most people interested in muscle toning, CoolTone™ can serve as an excellent choice. However, certain individuals may need to be evaluated by our team before using the device. When you arrive at our center, we will take the time to get to know you and determine the best treatment option. The following conditions may restrict your eligibility or make you ineligible for treatment:
- If your treatment areas contain metal, electrical, or electronic implants/devices like cardiac pacemakers, implanted hearing devices, implanted defibrillators, implanted neurostimulators, drug pumps, or hearing aids.
- If you are menstruating or if your treatment areas feature skin that lack normal sensation.
- If you have a fever, malignant tumor, hemorrhagic conditions, epilepsy, have had a recent surgical procedure, pulmonary insufficiency, or pregnancy.
- If you have Graves’ disease (an autoimmune disorder that causes overactive thyroid), active bleeding disorders, or seizure disorders.
- If you have heart problems, areas of new bone growth, or if you have swelling, inflammation, or an infection.

What Can I Expect During CoolTone™ Muscle Toning?
During your treatment session, the CoolTone™ Muscle Toning device will use its powerful MMS technology to penetrate below your layer of fat to strengthen and tone muscle at its core. This state-of-the-art system features liquid-cooled applicators, generating a magnetic field that creates a current when it passes through a conductive material. Muscles are good conductors of magnetic fields, unlike skin and fat, which are poor conductors. The induced current that will pass through your body will therefore be stronger in the muscle layer and cause your body to respond by rapidly contracting your muscle fibers and improving muscle conditioning. The result is stronger, firmer, and more toned abdomen, thighs, and buttocks.
You will feel your muscles contracting, but the treatment does not hurt and is very tolerable.
