GLP-1 medications
GLP-1 medications are medications that are injected weekly or taken sublingually under the tongue daily. These medications work for weight loss by curbing hunger, helping control eating habits, and reducing cravings. They offer multiple health benefits, including weight loss, healthy weight maintenance, lower blood sugar levels, and reduction in A1C levels. GLP-1 medications mimic a hormone produced in your bodies when you consume food. By acting as an incretin hormone, it aids in digestion, suppresses appetite, and slows down the rate at which food leaves the stomach. This results in a feeling of fullness that lasts longer. Weight loss from the medication is most effective when combined with lifestyle interventions such as eating healthy and exercising.

Compounded medication
Renew MedSpa offers compounded semaglutide injection, compounded tirzepatide injection, and tirzepatide or semaglutide sublingual. These medications are prepared by a licensed pharmacist or physician in a state-licensed pharmacy in a manner that meets the requirements of Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and applicable state laws. A compounded drug is prepared for a specific individual based on an individual prescription from a licensed health care professional. Our pharmacies are licensed in the following states: AK, AZ, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, HI, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MN, MS, MO, MT, NH, NY, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY. Compounded drugs are not FDA approved, but they are prepared in accordance with federal requirements in facilities licensed by the patient’s state board of pharmacy. Compounded medication is not fake, unsafe, or illegal, as some recent irresponsible media coverage has portrayed. Compounded medications are not intended to replace mass-manufactured drugs but to serve patients with unique medical needs that cannot be met by standard medications and during drug shortages. Compounded versions of tirzepatide are not associated with Eli Lilly & Company and/or its genuine Mounjaro® and/or Zepbound® products. Lilly’s genuine Mounjaro® and Zepbound® products are the only FDA approved tirzepatide products that the FDA has reviewed for safety, quality, or efficacy. Compounded versions of semaglutide are not associated with Novo Nordisk and its products Wagovy or Ozempic. When a drug is on the FDA shortage list, as semiglutide and tirzepatide currently are, compounding pharmacies are legally allowed to make a medication that’s essentially a copy of a commercially available drug.
