Rebuild, don’t just fill.
Sculptra is the original FDA-approved poly-L-lactic acid biostimulator. Instead of adding temporary volume, it signals your own body to rebuild collagen gradually, for natural-looking firmness that lasts up to two years.
A clinic favorite, because it works.
Sculptra is a collagen stimulator that targets fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, and other signs of aging caused by collagen loss. It’s the first and original FDA-approved poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) facial injectable.
PLLA is absorbed naturally by the body and works with your own biology to revitalize collagen production, the substance that gives skin its resiliency, elasticity, and shape. That’s what sets it apart from dermal filler and topical treatments. Sculptra can increase collagen production by up to 66% after a series of three treatments over several months.
Why collagen matters.
Collagen is the protein that connects and supports your tissues. About a third of all the protein in your body is collagen, and roughly 70% of your skin is made of it. It keeps skin strong, supple, and able to renew itself.
As we age, the cells that make collagen (fibroblasts) slow down, and existing collagen becomes fragmented and frayed. The skin’s inner structure weakens, losing elasticity and moisture, and lines, wrinkles, folds, and volume loss follow. Sculptra works by signaling those fibroblasts to get back to work.
Collagen is like the springs in a mattress. Over time the springs weaken, and the surface starts to sag and crease. Rebuilding collagen restores the support underneath, so the surface smooths from within.
Results that hold up over two years.
Like a liquid facelift, built from within.
A few days after treatment, the PLLA absorbs into your body and encourages your cells to produce more collagen. The particles dissolve and leave behind the collagen your own body has made.
Sculptra repairs the underlying structure of the skin, adding fullness to the face and softening wrinkles and fine lines. Unlike dermal filler, which adds an instant gel volume, Sculptra creates its effect by inducing your body’s natural collagen-production process. Results last up to two years.

Where Sculptra restores structure.
See the difference collagen makes.
Natural, gradual restoration of facial volume and skin quality with Sculptra.
Two different tools, often used together.
Sculptra builds your own collagen over weeks, while dermal filler adds immediate but temporary volume. They complement each other rather than compete.
Sculptra is the collagen foundation of regenerative aesthetics.
Aging happens in layers, and the most natural, lasting results come from rebuilding rather than simply filling. Sculptra restores the deep collagen structure, one part of a layered approach we believe in at Renew MedSpa.
Read: Building & Layering, Not FillingCollagen you build is collagen you keep. It integrates into existing tissue. It does not migrate. It does not create a pillow-face effect.
A process, not an overnight fix.
The collagen-building process is a journey and does not happen overnight. Clients seeking immediate results are not candidates for Sculptra, but those who commit are rewarded with natural, lasting change.
Custom plan
About a one-hour treatment. One vial is typically recommended for each decade of age.
Collagen builds
PLLA signals your body to produce new collagen gradually, with results as early as one month.
Treatments spaced out

Maintenance
Results last up to two years. A yearly maintenance treatment keeps them going.
Getting ready for your appointment.
A few simple steps before your visit help reduce bruising and give you the best, most comfortable result. We’ll walk you through everything else, including aftercare, at your appointment.
- Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, creams, and lotions in the injection area.
- For one week before, avoid aspirin, NSAIDs, gingko biloba, garlic and fish oil supplements, green tea, flax oil, and vitamins A and E, which increase bruising risk.
- No alcohol 24 hours before treatment to limit bruising.
- You may take Arnica tablets 2 to 3 days before to reduce bruising.
- If you have a history of cold sores, start antiviral medication 3 days before.
Risks and side effects: swelling, bruising, tenderness, itching, and small nodules under the skin, which are rare and typically resolve on their own.
An honest look at candidacy.

Sculptra, answered.
No, and this is the key difference. Traditional dermal filler adds instant volume by placing a gel into the skin. Sculptra is a biostimulator: it signals your body to produce its own new collagen over time. One fills space, the other rebuilds structure.
Because your body is doing the work. The PLLA microparticles act as a scaffold that prompts your fibroblasts to build new collagen gradually. That takes weeks to months, which is exactly why the results look so natural and last so long. Clients wanting an overnight change are not candidates for Sculptra.
Up to two years, sometimes longer. In clinical studies, 95% of patients still saw improved skin glow two years after treatment. A yearly maintenance treatment helps sustain your results over time.
As a general guide, one vial is recommended for each decade of age, with up to two vials injected per session and sessions spaced about 4 weeks apart. Your exact plan is tailored to your skin at your consultation.
Sculptra is non-invasive with relatively quick recovery. You may feel some soreness and have light bruising at the injection sites for a few days up to two weeks. Most people return to normal activities right away, avoiding strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
They do completely different things and work beautifully together. Botox and other neuromodulators relax the muscles that cause expression lines. Sculptra rebuilds the collagen foundation that gives skin its structure and volume. Many clients use both as part of a layered plan.
Absolutely. Men are one of the fastest-growing groups in regenerative aesthetics, and Sculptra works especially well on male skin, which tends to be thicker and more collagen-dense. The natural, no-tell-tale-signs result is exactly what most men are looking for.
