Smoother skin, from the surface down.
Rough, uneven, or bumpy skin texture is one of the most treatable concerns there is. With resurfacing that rebuilds collagen, we can smooth and refine your skin’s surface for a softer, more even, healthy-looking finish.
What affects skin texture?
Smooth skin reflects light evenly and feels soft. When the surface becomes rough, uneven, or bumpy, it is usually a sign of what is happening in the layers beneath, and it is very responsive to the right treatment.
Uneven texture can show up as roughness, dullness, bumpiness, visible pores, or a surface that no longer feels smooth to the touch. Several things contribute:
- Collagen loss, which begins in the mid-twenties and leaves the skin’s support structure thinner and less even over time.
- Sun damage, which roughens and thickens the surface and is one of the biggest drivers of textural change.
- Buildup of dead skin cells, as natural cell turnover slows with age, leaving skin looking dull and feeling rough.
- Past breakouts and scarring, which leave behind textural irregularities.
- Enlarged or congested pores, which add to an uneven-looking surface.
The encouraging part: texture is one of the concerns that responds most reliably to professional resurfacing, because those treatments work exactly where the problem lives.
Resurfacing: our answer to uneven texture
Smoothing skin texture is what fractional laser resurfacing does best. By creating controlled micro-channels in the skin, these treatments trigger a fresh wave of collagen and replace rough, damaged surface skin with smoother, healthier new skin. It is the most direct, effective way to refine texture, and it is a cornerstone of how we practice.

Our most powerful resurfacing treatment. Helix CO2 smooths rough texture, refines pores, softens scarring, and improves tone, with results that keep developing as new collagen forms. Ideal when you want meaningful, comprehensive renewal.
Explore Helix CO2 →CoolPeel PDGF
A gentler resurfacing option that pairs a light CO2 treatment with a pharmaceutical-grade growth factor. It refines texture and builds collagen with meaningfully less downtime, a great choice for maintenance or a lighter refresh.
Explore CoolPeel PDGF →Raised bumps, moles, and skin tags
Not all texture is about the skin’s surface. Sometimes it is a raised mole, a skin tag, or a rough, waxy growth interrupting an otherwise smooth area.
Resurfacing refines the overall surface, but for discrete raised growths, the answer is targeted removal. Our Mole and Skin Tag Removal uses a precise Plasma Pen device to gently shrink and flatten raised moles, skin tags, and similar benign growths, so the skin around them can smooth back over. After numbing the area, we treat as many growths as we can in a focused session, with no stitches, no surgery, and minimal downtime. Treated spots form small scabs that fall away on their own over the following days.
One important note: we only remove growths that are clearly benign. Anything irregular, changing, or new should be evaluated by a dermatologist first, and we are always glad to tell you when that is the right step before any cosmetic removal.
See your texture, then track it
Texture can be hard to judge in the mirror, so we start with real data.
VISIA Skin Analysis
Our VISIA Skin Analyzer captures detailed images of your skin and measures texture objectively. That means we can show you exactly what we are seeing, build a plan around what your skin actually needs rather than guesswork, and track your improvement over time with real before-and-after data.
It turns “I think my skin looks a little smoother” into measurable, visible progress, which makes it easier to see your results and know your plan is working. We include this kind of assessment as part of understanding your skin and setting realistic, personalized goals at your consultation.
Maintaining smooth skin
Once your texture is refined, keeping it that way is about consistent care and protection.
Regular facials
Professional facials keep skin exfoliated, clear, and glowing between resurfacing treatments, supporting smoother texture over time.
Medical-grade skincare
The right skincare, especially retinoids and vitamin C, supports cell turnover and collagen to keep the surface smooth.
Daily sun protection
Since sun damage is a leading cause of rough texture, daily SPF is one of the most effective ways to protect your results.
Related concerns
Uneven texture often overlaps with more specific concerns. If one of these describes what is bothering you most, we have a focused approach for it.

Fractional laser resurfacing is generally the most effective. Helix CO2 offers deeper, comprehensive smoothing, while CoolPeel PDGF is a lighter option with less downtime. The right choice depends on your skin and goals, which we assess at your consultation.
Many people see meaningful improvement from a single Helix CO2 treatment, while lighter treatments like CoolPeel PDGF are often done in a short series. We give you an honest estimate based on your skin at your consultation, and VISIA analysis lets us track your progress.
Good medical-grade skincare, especially retinoids, genuinely helps smooth and maintain texture, but it works at the surface and cannot match the collagen-rebuilding results of professional resurfacing. Skincare is best thought of as maintenance and support alongside treatment.
Deeper treatments like Helix CO2 involve a period of redness and flaking as the skin renews, usually a few days. CoolPeel PDGF has meaningfully less downtime. We walk you through exactly what to expect so you can plan around it.
A consultation with VISIA skin analysis is the best starting point. It shows us your texture objectively so we can recommend the right treatment and intensity, and give you a realistic picture of your results.
