What moles and skin tags actually are
Moles

Skin tags are small, soft, flesh-colored growths that hang from the skin on a thin stalk. They are extremely common, completely benign, and become more frequent with age.
- Where they show up: friction zones like the neck, underarms, eyelids, under the bra line, and in skin folds, anywhere skin rubs against skin, clothing, or jewelry.
- Why they bother people: they catch, snag, and pull through everyday life, on necklaces, collars, razors, and seatbelts, which makes them as much a comfort issue as a cosmetic one.
- The good news: skin tags are ideal candidates for quick, comfortable removal, and they do not grow back once fully removed, though new ones can form elsewhere.
First, a word on safety
Our removal service is a cosmetic treatment for growths that are clearly benign. It is not a diagnostic service, and we do not perform medical mole removal or send tissue for pathology. Because a melanoma can occasionally resemble an ordinary mole, we treat only growths that are clearly harmless. If anything about a spot looks irregular, has changed in size, shape, or color, bleeds, or simply raises a question, we pause and refer you to a dermatologist before doing anything. That step protects you, and we never skip it.

IPL for Pigment Spots
Removal does not lighten or remove pigment, but IPL does. Removing a mole makes it turn cancerous or spread

Plan on about 60 to 90 minutes. We apply prescription-strength numbing cream for about 30 minutes, then treat as many growths as we can within a focused 30-minute window. Most people feel little more than light warmth or tingling. Treated spots form small scabs that fall away on their own, usually in about 5 to 7 days on the face and roughly twice that on the body, and most people heal with little to no visible mark.
