Resurface, rebuild, renew.
Helix fractional laser resurfacing combines CO2 and 1570nm energy to smooth wrinkles, scars, and sun damage while rebuilding collagen from deep within. Deeper, safer, and faster than traditional resurfacing, customizable for every skin type and tone.
Laser resurfacing that works with your biology.
Laser skin resurfacing is a highly effective way to rejuvenate your skin, stimulate collagen, and restore a youthful, radiant complexion. At Renew MedSpa, Helix CO2 and 1570 treatments coagulate and ablate the skin to trigger collagen production.
The 1570nm non-ablative and 10,600nm CO2 ablative wavelengths target both superficial and deep layers of the skin, improving texture, tone, firmness, and elasticity while reducing visible signs of aging. As collagen rebuilds, you experience gradual skin tightening and a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, and other age-related concerns. Treatments can be ablative, non-ablative, or a combination of both, which is often the best option.
What Helix can do for your skin.
Smooths lines & wrinkles
Reduces fine lines and wrinkles while improving overall tone and texture.
Fades scars & marks
Softens acne and surgical scars, stretch marks, and sun damage.
Refines pores & texture
Minimizes enlarged pores and evens uneven, rough texture.
Builds collagen
Stimulates collagen and elastin naturally for firmer, more elastic skin.
Restores radiance
Brings back a youthful, healthy glow with smoother, firmer skin.
Minimal downtime
1 to 3 days for light treatments, 5 to 7 days for deeper ones. Safe for all skin tones.
Dual-wavelength, dual-depth resurfacing.
The Helix CO2 + 1570nm laser vaporizes micro-columns of damaged skin while stimulating deep collagen production for long-lasting structural improvement. CoolPeel delivers high-intensity fractional CO2 energy for surface rejuvenation without significant downtime.
Both options are fully customizable and target fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage and pigmentation, acne and surgical scars, uneven texture and enlarged pores, and skin laxity. Over time, skin becomes visibly smoother, firmer, and more radiant.
Superior to traditional CO2, Halo, Moxi, and RF microneedling.
Traditional CO2 lasers are effective but often mean more downtime, discomfort, and risk. Helix takes resurfacing to the next level.
Dual-layer remodeling
Combines CO2 ablative energy with 1570nm non-ablative energy, treating both the surface and deep dermis for maximum collagen stimulation.
More effective than Moxi & RF microneedling
Addresses deep wrinkles, scarring, and laxity that lighter treatments can’t, producing faster, more noticeable, longer-lasting results.
Superior to Halo & Erbium
Delivers deeper remodeling with fewer treatments and customizable intensity for every skin type.
Minimized downtime
Fractional micro-columns allow faster healing, less discomfort, and reduced risk of pigmentation issues.
Safe for all skin types
Settings adjust from subtle refreshers to dramatic rejuvenation, even in darker skin tones.
Enhanced collagen production
Stimulates both superficial and deep collagen and elastin for more comprehensive improvement.
Resurfacing is part of building, not just smoothing.
Helix doesn’t just treat the surface. By stimulating deep collagen, it rebuilds the skin’s foundation, the regenerative philosophy we believe in at Renew MedSpa. The most natural, lasting results come from building and layering, not filling.

Customized to your skin and goals.
Every treatment is tailored to your skin type, goals, and lifestyle. Topical numbing cream is applied before all treatments for your comfort.
For comfort, numbing cream is applied 30 to 45 minutes before treatment, and a Zimmer cold air cooling device blows chilled air on the area throughout. Treatment time ranges from about 20 to 60 minutes depending on the areas treated.
Before & after, one treatment.
Individual results may vary.

Helix laser resurfacing, answered.
Most adults who want to improve skin texture, tone, wrinkles, scarring, or laxity are good candidates. The Helix platform is safe for all skin types and tones: it lets us customize laser settings for every Fitzpatrick skin type, a meaningful difference from older CO2 lasers that carried higher risk for darker skin tones. At your free consultation, we review your skin type, medical history, and goals to confirm the right treatment and settings. Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who have used isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past year, may need to wait.
A topical numbing cream is applied before your appointment to keep you comfortable. Most patients describe a warm, prickling sensation. For deeper treatments, your provider adjusts settings and comfort measures, including a device that blows cool air during treatment.
Many patients achieve their goals in a single treatment. Those addressing deeper concerns such as scarring, laxity, or advanced aging typically see optimal results with a series of two treatments. Once you reach your desired result, one annual maintenance treatment is recommended to sustain collagen production.
Initial improvements in texture and tone are often visible within one to two weeks as skin heals. Collagen continues rebuilding over the following three to six months, with full results becoming more apparent over time.
Downtime varies by intensity. Light treatments typically involve one to three days of redness and flaking. Deeper treatments may require five to six days of healing. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions to support a smooth recovery.
Yes. Helix pairs well with other services at Renew MedSpa, including neuromodulators (Jeuveau, Dysport, Botox), Sculptra, and other skin rejuvenation treatments. Your provider will help you sequence treatments safely for the best results.
In the weeks before treatment, avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning beds and lotions, retinol and exfoliating acids, waxing or depilatory creams on the area, and certain medications that increase photosensitivity. Your provider gives you a complete pre-treatment checklist at your consultation.
The person behind the device matters.
The quality of a laser treatment depends as much on the person behind the device as the device itself. At Renew MedSpa, all Helix treatments are performed by Julie Davis, founder and advanced laser technician, who has spent her career mastering laser physics, wound healing, and skin rejuvenation.
Your treatment is never one-size-fits-all. It’s tailored to your specific concerns, goals, and downtime, and delivered by someone who knows this technology inside and out.
